Mindset Coaching

This tends to happen when there is a misalignment between what you want at the conscious level and the unconscious patterns, beliefs, behaviours, habits and programs that are running in the background.

On the surface, you are saying “I want to do THIS” but underneath, the unconscious mind is doing everything in its power to prevent the “this” from happening.

Mindset coaching will help uncover the beliefs, blocks, behaviours, habits and patterns of thinking that is preventing you from living the life or creating the career you desire.

As a Career & Mindset Coach I am qualified and experience in two neuroscience-based and therapeutic techniques: Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT).

NLP

Neuro: The physical components as well as the mental and emotional components of our neurology. Linguistic/Language that you use, and more specifically, how you communicate with others and more importantly, how you communicate with yourself. Programming: Perceiving your mind as your internal operating system, Programming is the way our past experiences, thoughts and emotions affect all areas of our lives.

As an example, we may use the following techniques to build a growth mindset:

Timeline

We find where it first happened which will help you work past any limiting beliefs that are preventing your progress. Unwanted negative emotions and feelings, and limiting beliefs can have a huge effect on our mindset and progression.

Anchoring

An anchor for when you want to feel calm, confidence, motivation, or any other powerful state of being. One that you do for yourself. This technique is about harnessing a good feeling to pull on, in times of self-doubt. 

Re-Framing

Mastering the ability to look at something differently. First we will look at the habit such as mindreading then develop ways to alter your mindset to open for more flexibility and understanding around situations. 

CBT

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that can help you manage your mindset by changing the way you think and behave. CBT is based on the concept that your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and actions are interconnected, and that negative thoughts and feelings can trap you in a vicious cycle.

As an example, we may use the following techniques in our sessions:

Cognitive Restructure

This involves taking a hard look at negative thought patterns. We will break down those thoughts and restructure.

Fact Checking

Because thoughts are NOT factual. Recognising the difference between fact and opinion can assist you in challenging your mindset.

Problem Solving

Uncovering what you define as a problem and using the 6-step technique to find the best solution thus, the best outcome for you!

This is in addition to my knowledge and experience with more traditional coaching practices as a certified Professional Coach. All this together, are the tools to gain deep insight and understanding of your mindset and the way you think and show up in the world. All techniques that we work on together,  you will easily be able to apply in your day to day as they are designed to shift perception, change minds and therefore change lives.

  • First coaching session can be up to 2 hours
  • Remaining sessions are between 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes
